The 20th anniversary celebration brought together philanthropy, storytelling, and community dialogue in an evening that recognised leadership, preserved personal legacies, and inspired future generations. That same year, Julie Platt was the guest speaker for this event.&nbsp; The original creative concept and visual identity were developed by an external designer affiliated with the event's main sponsor. I led production and execution of the final event and print materials—bringing that concept to life. The Goal To celebrate and recognise individuals who have made a lasting commitment to the future of the Jewish community through legacy giving, and to inspire continued philanthropic leadership and intergenerational engagement. The Impact The event helped raise awareness of the importance of legacy giving by celebrating the 13 new inductees and sharing their commitment to the future of the Jewish community.Art Exhibit Display Experience I reimagined the displays as a staged art exhibit since previously presented as standard pull-up banners. from Auschwitz to Birkenau on Holocaust Remembrance Day. The immersive educational journey created a living bridge between past and present, continuing from historic sites in Poland to Israel to explore Jewish renewal, identity, and resilience. The GoalTo create a more personal and immersive experience than previous iterations, using design and storytelling to honour the voices of Holocaust survivors and participants from around the world. The ConceptThe colours that were used were blue and red to differentiate the two groups (Toronto and Coast-to-Coast). For this year’s design, I traced the program’s iconic photograph and transformed it into a graphic element that reinforced the established identity. Wildflowers grew from my interest in improving food accessibility while supporting local biodiversity. Project Concept Wildflowers promotes the idea that fresh food can be grown in nearly any space. By planting vegetables and native species, the project not only increases access to nutritious food but also supports pollinators and other natural inhabitants such as butterflies and dragonflies. The MissionTo raise awareness about food accessibility and create a space where women and children can learn, reconnect, and heal through gardening. The project encourages growing food and planting native species to promote pollination and support ecological health. The Goal To empower women and children through hands-on gardening while increasing access to fresh produce and pollinator-friendly plants within the community. Community Partnership To bring the&nbsp;Wildflowers project to life, I partnered with The Denise House, a non-profit in the Durham region that supports women and children experiencing challenging circumstances. Together, we developed programming that combined ecological education with personal growth. Financial Support I wrote and designed a grant proposal that secured funding through #RisingYouth, a TakingITGlobal grant program that supports youth-led community initiatives. Community EventsIn Spring 2022, we hosted two key events at The Denise House: Volunteer event: Staff, friends, and volunteers helped build raised garden beds on-site. The event introduced the project’s purpose and highlighted the importance of food accessibility and pollinator support.Educational workshop: I delivered a session for residents on native plants, conservation, and pollinators, followed by an introduction to the CCC program for those interested in getting involved. The ImpactWildflowers provided residents with tools, knowledge, and a supportive space to learn gardening skills, explore native plants, and nurture both personal and ecological growth. Target Audience and ContextYoung adults and early-career professionals often want to try new places to eat but struggle with choosing where to go—especially when they have limited time, conflicting opinions, or too many options. Our target audience values discovery, convenience, and experiences tied to how they feel in the moment. Problem and SolutionPeople often waste time choosing where to eat because most apps focus on filters and ratings instead of how someone feels.
