FoMo NoMo
2018
During BrainStation’s 5-week UX Design course, I collaborated with a five-member team to design FoMo NoMo, a mobile app that helps young adults and early-career professionals find places to eat based on their mood, reducing indecision and encouraging discovery.
Target Audience and Context
Young adults and early-career professionals often want to try new places to eat but struggle with choosing where to go—especially when they have limited time, conflicting opinions, or too many options. Our target audience values discovery, convenience, and experiences tied to how they feel in the moment.
Problem and Solution
People often waste time choosing where to eat because most apps focus on filters and ratings instead of how someone feels. FoMo NoMo simplifies decision-making by recommending restaurants based on the user’s mood (i.e., comfort, adventurous, or a quick bite) and nearby or planned locations.
